WONDER BRU
Wonder Bru ASBL was born on the 5th of February 2022 in Brussels, from a shared passion for hoppy craft beers by a group of three brewers: Emmeline, Nico and Stephane, an organic farmer, Gael, a bar tender Julien and Jordane, a beer sommelier.
MATE BREW
Nico, one of the three brewers, is Argentinian. He introduced to the group mate, a traditional South-American tea that is perfect for sharing with friends. Our first commercial brew is a mate-infused beer, with a spicy note from rye, a dry hoppy touch and a long herbal finish. Enjoy the energy boost!
OUR STORY
Over the years we developed a passion for brewing authentic craft beers, blending new and classic flavours.
As part of an organic farming project in Pajottenland (outskirts of Brussels), we planted our first hops together in 2020, and tried different types for our beers including Hallertau, Target, Northern Brewer, Magnum, and others.
In mid-2022, we launched Mate Brew, brewed in 2 reputed Belgian breweries. New recipes are coming!
A BRUSSELS HOPS FARM
Wonder Bru is planning to start a hops farm near Brussels, together with other organic producers. Our common objective: learn, share, experiment, cross-fertilise, produce, and enjoy.
Belgium has a long tradition of growing hops, but does not make enough of it to cover the demand. We would love to offer a variety of local hops to craft brewers in the future.
WHERE TO FIND US?
We organise live music events in Brussels, with the singer song-writer Lila de la Vega, and other artists, in different craft beer bars like Gist, Chez mon ex, Mazette, Maison du Peuple.
